praise you through this storm

So it is kinda tough around here lately and it is hard to put it exactly. Life is good and the Lord is good yet it seems like we are going through a desert and I cant wonder why on earth why? Yet the Lord reminds me that he is faithful, always faithful, and no matter what storms of life we go through He is right there with us leading us and guiding us. it is occurring to me that we are at war with the enemy and he is trying to steal and kill everything we have. our battle is not against flesh and blood it is against the enemy and the things he is trying to do to us. right now it is a time for us to press into the Lord and not be discouraged, not be let down by what might seem like the world caving in around us but understand that the Lord is just wanting more of us for himself. The Lord is jealous for time with us, he want so much of us that we need to re-prioritize our lives to spend more time with him. The Lord is so good and so kind and we need to allow that very thought to sink into our hearts, he is good, his love endures forever, he will not leave you nor forsake you, our help comes from him the maker of heaven and earth. in short saying all this reminds of a casting crowns song, and makes me feel much better. it wont hurt us to smile and allow the joy of the Lord to be our strength. when we go through the valleys we need to cling fast to the arms of the father and worship Him for who He is!

PRAISE YOU IN THIS STORM BY CASTING CROWNS
"I was sure by now God you would have reached down
and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say amen
that it's still raining
as the thunder rolls
I barely hear your whisper through the rain,
I'm with you
and as your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away.

Chorus:
And i'll praise you in this storm
and i will lift my hands
that you are who you are
no matter where I am
and every tear I've cried
you hold in your hand
you never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise you in this storm

I remember when I stumbled in the wind
you heard my cry you raised me up again
my strength is almost gone how can I carry on
if I can't find you
and as the thunder rolls
I barely hear you whisper through the rain
I'm with you
and as your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away

Chorus

I lift my eyes unto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
"

good night ya'll let me know what you think, we need each other church

The Fire is Hot

So sorry to you all that it has been so long since we've updated. We have been somewhat busy!!!!

So on with the post, our God is so faithful, and so loving, the more that I seek after Him the more and more i realize that. Even when the fire gets hot I can know with all my heart that His promises are real and true and He will never take back His promises. And it always amazes me how God prepares us for situations that we are coming into and He knows what truth He needs to plant in us before the event comes. I feel as though I am in the flames of the refiners fire, Malachi 3:3 says that "He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver" If you know anything about about refining precious metals than you know that the metal is heated in the hottest part of the fire until it is melted. As it begins to melt all the impurities come to the surface and then the silversmith will remove the impurities. You know how you get all those annoying forwards that sometimes are dumb but sometimes they are really good, well a few months ago I got a good one that God as brought back to my mind as I have been feeling like He is "putting me in the fire" if you will. A women wanted to know what this verse meant so she called up a silversmith and said she would like to observe the refining process. As she watched, the man told her that as the metal melts the impurities rise to the top, then he told her that he has to keep his eyes on the metal the whole time because if it was left in one moment to long it would be destroyed. The she asked,"how do you know when it is finished" now pay attention to his response and then remember the verse, he told her " that is simple, when I can see my face in it I know it is done" Yes in life we are going to be taken through the fire, Jesus even said persecution will come, we will face trials of many kinds, but He like the refiner will not take His eyes off of us His eyes will be fixed on us even when ours wonder, and the whole reason that He puts us in the fire is to get rid of the impurities, our unrighteous behaviors and wrong thoughts and mind sets our ways of doing things that are not of Him, and all with the purpose of making us like Him so we in our lives can reflect His face. The last part of the verse says "so that they may present to the Lord offerings in righteousness."
So if you are feeling like you are going through a purifying process, be encouraged it is for good reason, welcome it and trust God, he will not take His eyes off of you, that is a promise. And if things are smooth for you right now praise Jesus, continue to rest in His arms, but when the heat of the fire begins to pick up do not become discouraged, He is making you to be more like Him. Take it as a privilege that He sees that you are ready for more righteousness. Love you all, keep seeking His face with all you have. It truly is worth it!
